Description

I request the developers to add support to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SecurePoll extension. This is a higher-level extension which very few people have access to on Wikimedia Wikis, hence will be useful for testing.

Rights of securepoll-create-poll and securepoll-edit-poll can be granted to sysops/'crats based on consensus, or even as a separate electionadmin group which can be added by sysops/'crats.

securepoll-view-voter-pii needs to be limited to CheckUsers as it shows IPs.

Much needed! Since it is heavily restricted on Wikimedia, I think it would be great for testing or even using it in community discussions

We can add it for testing, but I'd rather actual on-wiki discussions happen on wiki pages.

the "securepoll-view-voter-pii" user right must remain restricted to stewards (or maybe checkuser?)

While SecurePoll would be a good extension to test, I believe it would also make a good use for community discussions and its addition should be considered.

Considering this extension would be used for community votes, I believe that a community vote to introduce it would be needed. However i would recommend that usage of all extension features is restricted to stewards to control the "validity" of the discussions carried out at Test Wiki

The securePoll is going to be proven very helpful for community and easy to held voting of advanced sensitive privileges.

@Aviram7 not just sensitive rights, but also community votes such as changing of clauses etc. I strongly support this extension.

I would be fine installing it for testing, but not for community discussion.
